What is Flipsalot?

We help resellers make smarter calls fast. Search recent sold records, see clean comps, and act on data.

How is this different from Terapeak or basic eBay search?

We focus on decision making. You get Quick Stats (high/low/median/average), 90-day and 24-hour sell-through, shipping + condition breakdowns, outlier filtering, and saved searches that refresh nightly. The goal is to show patterns, not noise.

Do I need an eBay store to use it?

No. Anyone can use Flipsalot to research, plan, and track sales.

What does sell-through mean here?

We show listed and sold counts and compute sell-through (STR) so you can gauge demand quickly.

How do you calculate sell-through rates?

We keep STR between 0 and 100 and include both demand and supply. 24-hour STR = items sold yesterday ÷ (items sold yesterday + items newly listed yesterday). 90-day STR = items sold in 90 days ÷ (items sold in 90 days + items currently active). Counts come from eBay’s Sold & Completed and Active views.

What is in the 24-hour snapshot?

We capture yesterday’s sold count, yesterday’s newly listed count, and the resulting 24-hour STR. We normalize dates to America/Detroit so daily snapshots line up the same for everyone.

How do you get the data?

We pull directly from eBay’s public search results in the Sold & Completed and Active views with consistent filters and sort orders. We then calculate price bands, STR, shipping metrics, and the 24-hour snapshot. Saved searches refresh nightly; manual searches run on demand.

Why might your numbers differ a bit from what I see on eBay?

eBay localizes results and runs layout tests, which can create small differences by region or timing. We fix the time zone, sort order, and filters to keep things consistent. In practice the numbers are very reliable for reselling decisions because they come straight from eBay.

How fresh is the data?

Saved searches refresh nightly and include a 24-hour snapshot. Manual searches pull recent sold activity right away.

Do you have monthly search limits?

Yes—100 manual searches per month by default. If you need more, message us and we’ll try to help. The counter resets on the first of the month in America/Detroit. Saved searches keep updating nightly and don’t use your manual quota.

What happens if I hit my limit?

We show a notice with your reset date/time. Manual searches pause until the period resets. Your saved searches keep updating so you still get fresh numbers.

Which regions are supported?

Right now we support the US eBay marketplace. We’re exploring bringing back other regions, but can’t promise timing. Daily counters use America/Detroit.

Can I try it free first?

Yes—there’s a free trial for first-time users. It’s one trial per person. If you’ve had a trial before, the checkout will route you to the standard plan without a trial.

What happens after the trial?

Unless you cancel before it ends, billing starts at $9.99 per month and renews monthly.

I used a trial in the past—can I get another?

No. Trials are limited to one per person. We keep minimal identifiers (like your email and Stripe IDs) to enforce this. If you think we mis-flagged you, email info@flipsalot.com.

What is the founding-member deal?

Early supporters get a lifetime locked monthly rate while the subscription stays continuously active. Cancel and re-subscribe later and you’ll join at the current standard price.

What can Flipsalot do that others can’t?

Quick Stats right above results (no digging), top sell-through ideas for sourcing, outlier filtering for cleaner comps, saved searches that refresh nightly with 24-hour metrics—plus we’re working on saved-search alerts that flag flipping opportunities (new listings under a target price) so you can pounce faster.

Will Flipsalot help me price faster?

Yes. You get price bands and averages, plus filters that remove junk results, so you can list with confidence and speed.

How do payments work? Is it secure?

Stripe handles checkout and billing. We don’t store your full card. You can manage or cancel anytime from the “Manage Billing” link (Stripe Portal). Questions? info@flipsalot.com

Can I use Flipsalot while sourcing in the field?

Yes. It’s fast and mobile-friendly—run sold searches, check STR, and see price bands from your phone while you’re standing at the shelf.

How accurate are your numbers?

We pull directly from eBay. Small differences can happen due to regional variations or testing, but our snapshots and metrics provide a consistent guide for decisions.

Does Flipsalot work beyond eBay?

Research data is eBay-only for now, but your Sales Log can track sales from any marketplace.

Will my price change later?

Plans can change over time and we’ll be upfront. Founding members keep their locked rate as long as the subscription stays active.

Are you affiliated with eBay?

No. We aren’t affiliated with or endorsed by eBay Inc. We analyze public marketplace data and link back to original listings for context.

How do I delete my account?

Use “Manage Billing” to cancel. After your paid period ends, we remove your saved searches and sales logs within a reasonable period. We retain minimal identifiers (email and Stripe IDs) as needed to enforce the one-trial policy and meet legal/tax obligations. Reach out if you want a confirmation.

Do you offer refunds?

Subscription fees aren’t refundable once a billing period begins. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of your current period.
